FIRST CHOICE
Servco Home and Appliance Showroom is the display facility for Servco Home and Appliance Distribution, Hawaii’s wholesale distributor of premier lines of kitchen appliances and bath accessories.
STANDING ALONE
“Some people might think it’s funny or even untrue, but we really don’t have any competition,” says Randall Iwaishi. “Servco is the wholesale distributor for the appliance manufacturers we represent. It’s not a retail outlet, so it’s not a high-pressure ‘sales’ environment.”
APPLIANCE BRANDS
GE Monogram, Bosch, Thermador, Gaggenau and undercounter refrigeration and wine captains from U-Line.
OTHER PRODUCTS
The complete line of GE appliances (GE Café and Artistry), Best and Broan hoods, KWC and Rohl plumbing products for both kitchen and bath, Franke kitchen systems, Hera undercabinet lighting and outdoor grills from Vintage and Coyote.
MOST POPULAR PRODUCT
Induction cooktops. “All of the performance features, safety and ease of cleaning benefits make them very fun appliances,” Iwaishi says.
NEW RELEASE
The GE Café Bottom Freezer French Door refrigerator with built-in Keurig K-Kup Brewing System.
INSIDER INFORMATION
Servco’s product specialists provide useful tools (spec sheets, product knowledge, etc.) all in a relaxed atmosphere. “We can help you choose from the wide variety of products we carry and then refer you to a dealer for the purchase,” Iwaishi says. “We take the time to help you learn the options so that you can make an educated decision.”
KNOW YOUR SPACE
Iwaishi says he uses several of the appliance brands in his own home. “All of the appliances in my home — electric slide-in range, refrigerator, over-the-range microwave/vent, washer and dryer — are from Servco.”
DESIGN AROUND APPLIANCES
If you’re looking for a replacement appliance, measure your space before shopping. That will help narrow down the options.
QUICK TIP 2
If you’re doing a renovation or new build, choose your appliances before finalizing your kitchen drawings and ordering your cabinets. “Remember you can custom build cabinets, but you can’t custom build appliances,” Iwaishi says.
MOST COMMON MISTAKE
Not double-checking. “People don’t always confirm they have enough space for the appliance they’ve chosen,” Iwaishi says.
