Remembering Heather Riley
Talented designer contributed to Hawaii home designs and décor.

The Hawaii Home + Remodeling staff was saddened to hear the news of the plane crash over the weekend that lost the lives of four people, including Heather Riley, co-owner of Blue+Green Innovations and owner of Hawaii Design Studios.
We’d like to express our deepest condolences to Riley’s family and friends, to the Blue+Green Innovations team, and to the families and friends of the pilot, Dean Hutton, and passengers Gerrit Evensen and Alexis Aaron.
In honor and remembrance of Riley, we’d like to share some of the work she was creating for Hawaii Design Studios, a full-service interior design and décor studio that created modern, sustainable products on Oahu. Riley told us in May she was passionate about the production of her décor products, some of which were on display during the Aloha Home Market earlier this month.
Riley’s 2018 collection included wall art and pillows, with rugs, furniture and furniture packages in the works. She told us, “We are bringing our mantra into the homes of others: Modernize your Space, Simplify your Life. Our full collection of décor products emulates this mindset, wherein less is more, and value is placed on the unique nature and quality craftsmanship of each piece.”
