Design consultant Karen Luke draws inspiration from the clients she works with, allowing her to articulate quality and function through her storage designs. “California Closets provides beauty, quality and function to create an organized space for homeowners to enjoy, and our factory in Kapolei supports all our materials and manufacturing,” says Luke.

When considering a home improvement project, design consultant Roland Gabriel encourages his clients to do their research. “Clients often say, ‘I wish I did this years ago,’” he says. Most people, he adds, don’t realize that California Closets installations are usually completed in one day and can give a big boost to the value of their homes.
Designer Lori Paredes’ process is fluid, evolving from informal discussion to CAD drawings to material samples of over 20 finishes through the Italian Cleaf line. “We use technology to provide three-dimensional renderings, thereby inspiring customers to see the many possibilities of their design,” says Paredes.
Lylah Reid-Akana, design consultant, takes joy in all aspects of her work, from production and fabrication consulting, to CAD design and project management. “The key factors driving the success of a project are timing, needs, function, aesthetic, budget and managing expectations.” Of course, to get there, Reid-Akana takes extra care to listen to her clients, helping them “solve the puzzle” for their storage solutions.
