Buzz, Saw
An insider’s look at what we’re buzzing about.

Buzz, Saw is a weekly blog on cool stuff we’re seeing and buzzing about.
Get ready to voice command your appliances.
In hopes of recovering from more than $10 billion in losses over the past six years, Sears is teaming up with Amazon to integrate Amazon’s virtual assistant Alexa into its appliances. That means pretty soon you’ll be able to control your air conditioner and other home appliances with a voice command. Kind of cool. A little freaky. But very innovative of Sears to breathe, er, command, new life into their products.
Shop this pop-up.

This Sunday, July 23, head to Kailua for Aloha Home Market’s first-ever outdoor pop-up shopping event. Local vendors will be selling items ranging from mid-century modern furniture to wall art, plants, accessories and more. Get the full details here.
Happy birthday, City Mill.
Your go-to local hardware store, City Mill, is celebrating 118 years in service, and guess what? You’re invited to the party. Stop by your local City Mill to score on anniversary sale items, including camping tents, tools, shelves and other around-the-house necessities.
Plus, you can enter City Mill’s giveaway at any location for your chance to win a grand prize package that includes: four City Mill chairs, a City Mill canopy tent, Weber gas grill, folding table, wheeled cooler, two propane cylinders and refreshments.
Have more items on your shopping list? City Mill is also giving away a $118 gift card to one lucky winner during each of the next four weeks. Yup, it’s going to be like a birthday surprise for all the giveaway winners.
Speaking of giveaways…
