Step into the newly redesigned showroom at Daltile and it’s hard not to be tempted. Bright lights shine down on the latest options for countertops, backsplashes, flooring and more.
“We have the lion’s share of what everyone — designers, contractors, architects. homeowners — needs for their project,” says Daltile’s John Pasternak. “Whether it’s stone, tile, marble or granite, porcelain or ceramic, Daltile is the place to go. It’s your one-stop shop.”
In addition to improved lighting, the product displays have also been reimagined so panels may be easily removed. “We’ve put it all together for the customer,” Pasternak says of the showroom design. “You can bring in cabinets, paints, fabric swatches and we’ll put them all together. It makes it very simple to preview products and color options. Everything is mobile, interchangeable and comparable.”
Besides Daltile, the Honolulu location also carries products from American Olean, Marazzi and Ragno. “Plus, we have a slab yard,” Pasternak says. “It’s convenient because it’s all under one roof — something you won’t find on the mainland.”
Watch List 2017 Surface Trends
Flooring: “Large format with long, rectangular pieces with a stone/wood look,” Pasternak says. “We’re getting back to the natural finishes.”
Backsplashes: “They’re often now the wow factor for a lot of kitchens. Glass looks great with woodwork and stone and it’s cleaner, brighter.”
Countertops: “Things are moving toward the man-made quartz products.”
