Get Cozy with a New Local Line of Linen for Your Bed
Enjoy suite dreams with Citron & Date.

A new local line of light but oh-so-soft linen bedding will help you snuggle up with dreams of sugar (or rock salt) plums all winter.
Citron & Date is the creation of hair and makeup artist Jasmine Mullins. Last year, when she, like most of us, went looking to instill more joy and comfort at home, she was shocked to find some of the happiest places to live didn’t see much sunlight for half the year. Why? “Hygge: interior design that focuses on the senses resulting in curated happiness versus circumstantial happiness,” Mullins says. “We wanted to create what we call Hawaiian Hygge,” sensory-focused products for local shoppers. Inspired by her favorite linen sheets that she found in Portugal, Mullins researched European linen mills, found an amazing partner (her mom), and started her atelier home line.
Citron & Date imports raw natural linen then dyes, sews and packages it in the Islands. Mullins says linen is perfect for Hawaii weather. “It’s organic, very lightweight and doesn’t get moldy,” she says. “It gets better and softer with time.”
