Toyo Kitchen Style opened at Ward Centre last November, bringing its storied 90-year history of steel and kitchen innovation to the Islands. Noted for functionality, durability, and sleek, customizable luxury options, Japan-based Toyo Kitchen Style aims to elevate the standards for kitchen design, furniture and home décor.

The company first introduced its brand of stainless steel goods in 1934 with a collection of finely crafted cutlery. Fifty years later, Toyo Kitchen Style parlayed this expertise to produce its first stainless steel kitchen. Since then, the company has perfected the art of stainless steel manufacturing and design and now has over 20 showrooms in Japan and one in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Toyo Kitchen Style Hawaii is the company’s first location in the U.S.

In its Ward Centre showroom, you’ll find the elite iNO kitchen series, which comes in four different shapes and a wide variety of layout options. This flagship system is designed with Toyo Kitchen Style’s signature “Zero flow kitchen” concept, which minimizes the distance between stove and sink to maximize cooking efficiency. By eliminating lateral movement, everything home cooks need to do in the kitchen is within easy reach — from preparation and cooking to cleanup.

Toyo Kitchen Style is noted for sleek and streamlined kitchen workspaces that feature areas for cooking, prepping, cleaning, serving and storage within easy reach.

The iNO kitchen series is meticulously crafted, customizable, and ideal for local homes with open-concept floor plans. Customers can personalize every aspect of their system, from the features in Toyo Kitchen Style’s proprietary, high-tech Parallelo sink to the pattern of their steel work tops. Homeowners can also select from over 30 different options in stainless steel and high-pressure laminate for cabinet doors and storage panels.

While Toyo Kitchen Style’s legacy of excellence is most popularly linked to kitchen design, the company has evolved to include additional product lines and services to curate a broader, holistic view of home. “Many kitchen companies focus only on kitchen interiors, but we also coordinate home furniture, lighting and décor,” shares Atsuko Sekido, president of Toyo Kitchen Style Hawaii. “We believe that the kitchen and dining area are one shared space to be used for entertainment, because that is where the family gathers and is the center of the home.”

To complement its kitchen design options, Toyo Kitchen Style offers furniture pieces with customizable fabric selections, patterns, table legs, door handles and more. The company’s modern approach to home design showcases the distinct quality of its Japanese traditions and thoughtful construction.
